Sarah Bonciarelli

Sarah Bonciarelli holds a PhD in Textual Criticism and is a member of the Permanent European Observatory on Reading at Siena University. She is involved, as postdoctoral fellow in the research programme MDRN (www.mdrn.be) at Katholieke Unversiteit Leuven, and is assistant of Italian literature in Gent Universiteit. She is also part of the research group in “Science of the book and writing” at Universita’ per Stranieri di Perugia. Her main interests are Italian literature, semiotics and book history. She is also interested in the concept of translation seen as a cultural phenomenon (translation and censorship, adaptation) and studied from the point of view of semiotics and literary theory (borders, semiosphere).
