Andréia Guerini

Andréia Guerini is a Full Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures and the Graduate Translation Studies Program (PGET) of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina,Brazil (UFSC). Her research, teaching and extension projects involve Translation Studies, the History of Translation, Literary Studies, Comparative Literature and Italian Studies (especially the work of Giacomo Leopardi). She is editor-in-chief of the journals Cadernos de Tradução (www.cadernos.ufsc.br) and Appunti Leopardiani (www.appuntileopardiani.cce.ufsc.br).

Since 2017 she has been the coordinator of a CAPES/PrInt/UFSC internationalization project called “Translation, tradition and innovation”. She is a researcher at CNPq (the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development). She also translates Italian literary works.
