Kris Peeters

Kris Peeters is lecturer in French language, text analysis, culture and literature at the UAntwerpen Department of Applied Linguistics / Translation and Interpreting, where he also is vice-chair. He is a member of the TRICS research group (Translation, Interpreting en Intercultural Studies). His research interests concern the influence of Bakhtinian thought in translation studies, especially dialogism, heteroglossia and double-voiced discourse in early modern, modern and contemporary fiction. He studies these aspects on the basis of three popular fields in translation studies, namely retranslation, translator’s style and voice in translation.
