Walter C. Costa

Walter C. Costa is a Full Professor in the Graduate Translation Studies Program (PGET) of the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Brazil (UFSC) and in the Graduate Translation Studies Program (POET) of the Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC). He has research projects in Spanish-American Literature (especially the work of Jorge Luis Borges), Comparative Literature, Translation Studies (especially the connection between translated and national literature) and History of Translation. He has been president of ABRAPT (Brazilian Association of Translation Researchers), is currently associate editor of the journal Cadernos de Tradução (www.cadernos.ufsc.br), and is a researcher at CNPq (the Brazilian Council for Scientific and Technological Development).
