Oliwia Napierala holds an FWO Fundamental Research Fellowship within the Russian section of the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University, where she is a member of the TRACE and CLIV research groups. As a Teaching and Research Assistant at Ghent University (2024-2025), she taught Russian writing skills (grammar – vocabulary – translation) to first-year students. Oliwia holds a Master of Arts in Translation and a Master of Arts in Multilingual Communication (Dutch, French and Russian) which she obtained at Ghent University. In 2019, she also studied at the State University of Saint-Petersburg. After gaining a first work experience as a translator, Oliwia is currently working on a PhD project on (feminist) women translators in the Soviet Union and Polish People’s Republic.
