Ceydanur Temurok received her bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature with a specialisation in Comparative Literature and a minor in Philosophy, from Yeditepe University (2019). After graduating, she continued her studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where she earned her master’s degree in Greek Elements in Anglophone Literature (2021). Her master’s thesis explored hybridity, displacement, and identity formation in the context of population exchange and diaspora. She is currently an ERC-funded PhD researcher within the Meritocracy and Literature: Transcultural Approaches to Hegemonic Forms (MERLIT) research group at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Her research focuses on postmigrant novels of formation (bildungsroman), under the supervision of Prof. Eva Ulrike Pirker.
