July De Wilde obtained her PhD from Ghent University in 2011 focussing on the translation of irony in translated novels of Adolfo Bioy Casares, Guillermo Cabrera Infante and Mario Vargas Llosa. Her current research interests include the translation of mutilingualism in literature and the overlaps between the fields of narratology and translation studies.
